A Multifunctional Bespoke Unit Instead of a Partition

For this project in central Luxembourg, the aim was to separate two rooms while making the most of the available space.

Rather than building a traditional masonry partition, we designed a multifunctional bespoke unit that acts as a genuine dividing element. On one side, it forms a perfectly integrated dressing area; on the other, it incorporates a bookcase and a desk area.

This solution helps structure the space while adding new functions to each room.

Dressing, Bookcase and Desk Combined in One Bespoke Design

One of the main advantages of this design is the space it saves. Unlike a conventional partition wall, this solution is functional on both sides, allowing every centimetre to contribute to storage and organisation.

The unit also avoids the need for more extensive work: no masonry partition, plastering or painting was required to create the separation.

The result is a clever, space-saving design that combines a dressing area, bookcase, desk and storage within a single bespoke unit, while creating a natural separation between the two rooms.
